We are very happy to welcome Mike Westley to the team

Mike Westley- CMLI. Dip.LA, Dip.Hort, Dip.LTHE, BA(Hons) Associate Landscape Architect

Mike is a Chartered Landscape Architect with expertise in inclusive public realm, creative co-design, play, healing and learning environment design. This has lead to winning appointments with Design Council (CABE) Built Environment Expert Panel, Cornwall, Devon & Somerset and South West Design Review Panels, NHS Design Review Panel, Sensory Trust (Eden Project), & Groundwork Plymouth Area. His expertise and passion for his work has brought commissions across the UK, mainland Europe, Australia & USA. 

His projects have spanned a range of landscape types, with a focus on projects demonstrating ‘performative green infrastructure’, delivering economic, social and environmental wellbeing benefits to communities and individuals. 

Mike is also an Associate Lecturer at Plymouth University School of Art Design & Architecture. His university research, publications and teaching explore inclusive landscape design and green infrastructure & wellbeing.

His academic career has also included external examiner roles at the Universities of Essex & Edinburgh and visiting lecturer posts at Rhode Island School of Design, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Cambridge & Falmouth Universities. His research publication includes collaborations with the UK Landscape Institute. 

When not involved in the above, Mike likes to explore Cornwall's byways on his bike, its coast and rivers on his kayak and to grow food and generally potter in the family garden.
